About Jemima
I completed my A-levels in Maths, Economics and Business Studies in August 2022, attaining grades A*A*A. I passed my GCSE Maths exam with a level 9 (A**) and GCSE Further Maths with a level 8 (A*). Having only just completed my A-Levels recently, the content of GCSE Mathematics is still fresh within my mind, as a lot of the content carried on into A-Level. This means that unlike most qualified teachers with a degree in mathematics, I am more up to date with the content of the current GCSE examinations. My in-depth, up to date knowledge pairs well with my attentive nature, meaning that as a tutor conducting 1-1 lessons, my pupils will benefit immensely.

I will initially work through the course specification getting the student to decide how comfortable they are with each aspect using a traffic light system (green indicating very confident, yellow indicating a slight struggle and red indicating that it’s an area we need to focus on). It will then be a case of working through the red and yellow areas starting by working through examples together then moving onto individual work. I will continue to take them through different types of methods to find the best suited one for them. Once they feel confident with in each topic we will continue to do practice questions and past papers to push them beyond there target grades.
