About Kayla
Although I have always enjoyed anything academic. I had a bit of trouble retaining information in first grade. Therefore, my mom came up with a study plan (...this study plan) that catapulted my grades from C to A+ through my entire academic career even to now. I have been a part of junior beta club, beta club, national honor society, and the honor college at my university. Throughout all of my academic I have helped my peers younger and older to succeed in their studies. Seeing people thrive is something I value.

-Lessons are simple and custom for each student since we all learn differently.
-My skills are best for kindergarten - 12th grade.
-My methods are based on logic, visual, linguistic,& implicit learning.
-The basic flow of my lesson plans are learning the objectives, learn the (actual) information, take notes (while learning), connecting info, and mental cooldown.
Learning the objectives helps us prepare and subconsciously look for the main take away. As we study these main points will jump out to us as we learn.
While learning taking notes is important for retaining info. Things like definitions will help you get familiar with the terms that you'll be tested on. Plus they turn your notes into superb study guides. Connecting the info with things we already know increase the chance of the new information going into your long-term memory. Which is the goal! Finally the cool down is a fun lil bite size summary of what we learned during our session.
