About Timothee
I have been a teacher for nearly 10 years in both private and comprehensive, single and co-educational, and French and English schools. I have therefore taught many different curriculums to pupils from a wide range of backgrounds, and this has helped me to gain experience in differentiating my teaching methods to suit each individual pupil. I have extensive experience of the use of IT in my teaching and could very easily follow my tutees progress via the uses of clouds or various video call apps and software programs. I have been involved in creating new teaching programs and then implementing them. I have taught years 4 to 13 and therefore acquired a good understanding of the order in which knowledge needs to be imparted over an extended period. Although I am a Chemistry specialist, I have significant experience in teaching Physics and Biology, as well as IT, French and Math. I have an extensive experience of tutoring and I am able to cater for many learning styles.

Personal Description:
My name is Timothée Grillon. I was born in France but I have been living in England for over 20 years. After studying at both sixth-form college and university in London, I qualified as a teacher, and began my career in secondary schools whilst also doing some additional tutoring work locally. My wife and I are currently travelling and I have therefore perfected the skill of online teaching.
Approach to tutoring:
My approach depends on the needs of the pupil, which will be assessed prior to the lessons, and during the sessions as required. During the lessons, I create a relaxed atmosphere where the tutee feels free to express what they know and have understood. I believe that learning happens in an environment of mutual respect in which the student is encouraged to think and become independent. In order to help the tutee find interest in the subject, I often use real-world examples. If necessary, I will make good use of various multi-media tools.
