About Emma
I emphasize understanding and comprehension through continued practice problems and debriefs. My goal is to help students become confident in their work, abilities, and goals. As an engineering student in college that has taken various levels of math, science, and even humanities courses, I have seen the importance of establishing a strong foundation in the fundamentals.

My focus areas include Algebra I & II, basic Calculus, SAT Math, and general problem-solving. I've developed strong tutoring skills through both academic and real-world experiences, including internships with STEM-focused organizations where I applied classroom concepts to real-world engineering problems. These experiences allow me to bring a practical, applied perspective to my tutoring.
I’ve worked with middle school, high school, and early college students, both one-on-one and in small groups. My experience includes academic tutoring, standardized test prep, and helping students strengthen foundational math skills. I specialize in making abstract concepts clear by using real-world examples, visual explanations, and step-by-step problem solving. I’m patient and focused on building student confidence through encouragement and consistent reinforcement.
In a virtual environment, I make full use of whiteboard tools, chat, and verbal walk-throughs to keep sessions interactive and student-centered. I frequently check for understanding, encourage active participation, and tailor my approach to match each student’s learning style.
My goal as a tutor is not just to help students improve their grades or test scores, but to help them become confident, independent learners. I look forward to helping students reach their full potential through Superprof!
