About Haru
I am currently an international undergraduate double majoring in Society and Environment and Social Welfare with a minor in Global Poverty, at UC Berkeley. I lived in Japan and attended an international school from preschool to high school. I have taken International Baccalaureate (IB) and the following are the subjects I have taken: Higher Level: Math Analysis and Approaches, Biology, Chemistry Standard Level: English A Language and Literature, Japanese A Language and Literature, and Environmental systems and societies. I have also taken Eiken (Japanese ver. English Exam), SAT, TOEFL, Duolingo. I applied to 19 universities (17 in USA, 2 in Japan) and got into some of the top universities, so I can support in college applications if necessary. Specifically in regards to SATs, I have specific strategies and tips that would definitely lead you to achieve your goals! As a prior experience, I have taught students from 8th-12th grade in SAT preparations.

I teach students from all levels and all ages. Throughout a few lessons, I will observe the learning styles of individual students and fit my teaching style according to them. If students request specific teaching methods (such as giving short quizzes after each lesson), I am more than welcome to do so! I am almost trilingual (native in Japanese and English, and a little in Korean). As an international student attending a top university in America, I can also share tips and strategies for college applications if necessary.
