About Zara
I am Miss (Zara) Heydari-Tasooji and I believe that all students should have a chance at seeing that paper on their results day and being able to come out to their parent/guardian with a beaming smile no matter the score. You should always be proud of yourself. No child should have to feel different or less confident about themselves because at the end of the day, we are all human, we all make mistakes and most importantly we learn from those mistakes and get better for the future. It is completely okay to not be confident and that’s exactly my job! To give you that little boost in reassurance and confidence that we all need from time to time. Even if you came out of that exam (or even lesson!!) with a bottom score, you are trying your best and doing all you can which is the only thing that matters. We are all shining stars!!!

I feel as though everybody has their strengths and weaknesses; however, having a specific subject (such as maths) as your ‘weakness’ should not bring you down as we all approach learning in completely different ways! Students should not feel as though they do not ‘fit in’ with their peers simply because they find it more difficult to grasp a certain topic. I also find that some students have language barriers that may discourage them from engaging as much. But again, these students are also approachable. Me being a student myself, I find that when another peer is teaching the topic, you may tend to grasp it better off somebody who relates to your generation. The most important factor I value the most is helping students with confidence and just so they have that little bit of extra reassurance to give them that boost we all need from time to time. :)
