About Alan
I was awarded my BSc degree in Economics. I am a current, practising, teacher (CRB cleared) and have taught and worked as a qualified teacher at a local secondary school for nearly 13 years. I have excellent results for my classes and individual pupils which is achieved by building students' confidence and enjoyment of mathematics.

I currently teach at a secondary comprehensive both Maths and Computing. I tutor mostly to KS4 students wanting to help with their Maths but also to year 7, 8 & 9 students looking to get support or to push them. I aim to build confidence in young learners' own ability to maximise their enjoyment and potential.

Perfect! My daughter is really enjoying her Maths lessons with Alan. He is polite, reliable and great with kids. She has had a couple of maths tutors before but never found them inspiring and they didn't make the lessons fun! Alan is different and she actually looks forward to her sessions with him and her attitude to maths has changed! She said Alan makes maths more interesting and she understands it better, as he explains things well, much better than the teachers in school. So we can definitely recommend him and we are so pleased to have finally found a tutor that will make a real difference to her - just wish we had found Alan sooner!!

Perfect! I think we have struck gold by finding this amazing teacher. I cannot fault him. He explains things really welL, in many different ways until they are really understood. He is very patient, does not waste any time, and manages to go at the exact speed that the student needs. My daughter looks forward to Alan's lesson's and she is getting on much better in her school maths classes. The results have exceeded our expectations. Thank you Alan.

Alan has been tutoring our son Jack for over a year now and jack really feels so comfortable and at ease with Alan. He really enjoys his lessons and has much more confidence, Alan is very patient and Jack’s ability in maths has grown considerably, we would highly recommend Alan as a tutor!

Alan tutored my 11 year old daughter leading up to her SATs exams. She has since scored 115 out of 120 on the mathematics exam. His tutoring really helped her to grasp maths in an easy and methodical way. I will definitely be using Alan's skills again when it's my sons turn for SATs.
