About Annabella
I am a Melbourne trained tri-lingual multi-instrumentalist, internationally published composer, psychotherapist, and registered teacher of classroom & instrumental music, psychology, TESOL/EAL and Chinese. I have been the Head of Music at a Victorian secondary college and taught in both government and private schools for a decade. My PhD research publications in music psychology can be accessed from Researchgate.net. I currently lecture at two universities specializing in teacher training and student engagement; I hold membership of the Victorian Music Teachers Association, Victorian Institute of Teachers, the Australian Psychological Society and the Australian Counsellors Association.

Being a long standing member of the Australian Psychological Society, my heightened sense of empathy has enlightened my music teaching experiences with students of all ages and from diverse cultural, lingual and familial backgrounds. I take a holistic approach to music learning which involves the whole body and multiple intelligence. The desired outcome is that the student not only learns to play and sing, he/she will mature to become a confident individual who is equipped with academic attributes and valuable transferrable skills to navigate the world outside home on his/her own.

Details
As a highly experienced practitioner and academic teacher trainer, and having taught at primary, secondary and tertiary levels, I do not offer free first lessons. However, I can arrange a paid trial lesson and if all parties are happy to proceed, a 10-lesson term fees will then be settled in advance. Please note that cancellation of lessons requires a minimum of 24 hours' notice.
