About Deborah
Although my chosen course of study is science, music has had a huge impact and influence on my life. It is my passion and I believe there is no better way to keep music in my life than to teach others and hopefully inspire the same passion within someone else.
I have experienced many teaching styles and approaches over the years, as I’ve picked up more instruments and had the opportunity to learn from many professionals. This has allowed me to develop my own approach that includes the best of all I’ve learnt while being highly adaptable to the students individual needs.

Lessons are for beginners or those with basic musical knowledge, mostly practical but will integrate basic music theory as time progresses. Comfortable teaching anyone 6 years or older. Lessons can range between 30-60 minutes.
I am an experienced musician, having played various instruments for the last 12 years and ongoing. I’ve completed ABRSM Grade 5 Theory, Trinity Grade 6 in Piano & Flute, Excellence in NCEA L1-3 Music and was Top Scholar in Music at high school. I also played in many of my high school musical groups for 6 years.
