About Leon
I am currently a student at West Valley College and play for the soccer team. I love math but I love teaching and helping others with it as well. Math is difficult for many but it is my job as a tutor to show that it can be fun even with all the different variables. As your tutor I can say with confidence that I will help you understand your problems in math.

As a math tutor, it is important that students are actively learning. I have my students teach me the concept they are currently learning which helps with retention. When a student reaches a concept that is difficult to comprehend, I step in to find a way to make the subject easier to understand.
A typical lesson plan starts with the student and I talking about the current subject they are learning and about what is giving them problems and what is easy. After we will start with course or homework where the student will go over what they are learning. Once the student feels they are comprehending the subject we will move on to the next problem.
Students that I have will enjoy me as their tutor as I am able to explain concepts in a variety of different ways as in math there is never only one way. Also I pride myself in understanding that math is difficult and that it is important to make sure students realize that even as their tutor, I see that math is difficult.
