About Alice
Hi! I am Alice, a first-year student studying sports management and development at the University of Otago. I was born in New Zealand but I grew up in Asia. I went to the French school in Hanoi, Vietnam and moved to Bangkok, Thailand to complete my last two years of high school doing IB. I love to play and watch sports, mainly football. I also enjoy traveling and learning about new cultures through meeting new people. I am social, easy-going and I like creating a positive and comfortable environment for students to learn and build confidence in themselves.

My tutoring approach is focused on building confidence and making learning feel comfortable and fun! I encourage conversation and interaction during lessons so students feel more confident speaking and expressing themselves, especially in French. The lessons are tailored around what the student needs and might have a little more difficulty with whether that is vocab, reading,writing or speaking.
I completed French in the IB and attended a French school, which gave me strong language experience both academically and conversationally. I can tutor students of any age, although I have the most experience working with children aged 7–11.
Lessons are flexible depending on the student’s needs, but are usually around 45–60 minutes long.
