About Meleia
I'm an English enthusiast! From making words come alive to constructing compelling arguments I love every part. I competed in a highly competitive and academic speech and debate league (National Christian Forensics Communication Association) for 9 years. I placed nationally all four years of high school. My time in this league taught me how to utilize and appreciate the art words can create. I love teaching others these same skills with a hands-on approach.

I find writing in the "classroom" is the best way to learn. If there is a new concept a student is learning I don't just tell them how to do it, but show them. Instead of turning the lesson into a monologue I like to keep an open conversation. It's important to me that the student walks away confident in their ability to accomplish the concept covered in the lesson. If something isn't working with a student then I cater my style to the student's needs. There's no reason to keep a teaching style the same if it isn't working for the student.
