as someone who has been working with kids for 6+ years now, i have always known teaching is my passion, and there’s no other path for me. before i started full time as a preschool teacher last year, i was a swim instructor for 2 years. in my own professional opinion, no joy compares to that of when you teach a child a new skill. especially a crucial life skill. i have always thought of it as a privilege to work with kids and be a part of their learning journeys. i am looking to grow my experience as an educator as well as expand the impact i leave on my community.
