About Khia
I'm a paramedic student at university, I love learning and maths. I'm a big nerd who has such a passion for helping people. I know lots of people tend to struggle with maths and it can discourage them from wanting to learn more about it. However, I strive to see others understand how interesting maths can be and how it's really helpful in everyday life. I'm also a big believer that algebra is in everything and it's my favourite part of maths.

Usually I offer 1 hour online sessions, specialising in building confidence in students currently achieving grades 4-6. I love to tailor my lessons to the student, really working on the things they wish to work on. If the student is not quite sure where to start, I have resources tailored to the sections of maths that come up the most. I work best with students in year 10 and 11, getting them exam ready. I'm also more than happy to help the students go through any homework they are struggling with. The most effective thing with my students is to make sure that we connect, as I want to make a safe environment for any and all questions to be asked. I know that no student learns the same, and I love coming up with new creative ways to describe what we are doing in terms the student understands.
