About Elsie
I have 11 GCSEs (all A*) and 4 A Levels, including English Literature (all A*). In the past, I have tutored students whilst at secondary school and my sixth form college in English, RS, and Biology. I am well practised in creating a range of engaging and varied study sessions for students of differing abilities. I am happy to tutor primary school students, students sitting 11+ or 13+ entrance exams, GCSE students, and A Level students. I can also offer advice on writing personal statements, and sitting entrance exams such as the ELAT.

I try to teach in a range of creative ways, so that each tutoring session is engaging and differs from week to week. I believe that the most important thing when it comes to studying English is that students really involve themselves with the texts that they are studying, so I work hard to make the literature we read together both accessible and inviting. The hardest part is identifying with the subject - once this difficulty is overcome, the rest should follow!
