About Trevor
I am in my sixth year of teaching middle grades math—three years in sixth grade and currently in my third year teaching seventh grade. Teaching runs deep in my family, as I am a sixth-generation educator. I understand that math can be challenging for many students, but I feel a strong calling to make it more accessible and to build confidence in my students so they can reach their full potential. The greatest compliment I receive each year is hearing that I made math easier to understand.

As a math teacher, I believe in the “I Do, We Do, You Do” instructional approach. I begin by working examples step by step and expect students to follow along and copy the process. Next, I work through additional examples with student input so they can actively engage and deepen their understanding of the lesson. Finally, students complete problems independently, with my support available only when they need guidance.
