About Christopher
I take my role as an educator very seriously where professionalism is the key for both the students and my own success. To me, professionalism means being prepared, organized, consistent, and respectful in every interaction. My students can expect clear expectations, structured lessons, and thoughtful feedback that is meant to help them grow.
At the same time, I genuinely care about each student’s progress and confidence. I understand that learning math can be challenging, and I strive to create an environment where students feel supported, encouraged, and comfortable asking questions. My goal is not only to help students succeed academically, but also to help them develop confidence in their ability to think critically and solve problems independently.

I believe teaching mathematics is less about covering content and more about shaping how students think.
Step 1: Focus on conceptual understanding.
Students should understand why mathematical ideas work before memorizing procedures or formulas.
Step 2: Encourage productive struggle.
Have students attempt problems on their own and support them through the struggle rather than immediately providing answers.
Step 3: Promote mathematical reasoning and reflection.
Ask students to explain how they approached a problem, discuss what parts of their reasoning are strong, and identify areas for improvement.
Step 4: Use multiple representations.
Present concepts in different ways—such as graphs, algebraic expressions, tables, or visual models—to deepen understanding.
Step 5: Connect math to real-world contexts.
Show students how mathematics applies to situations around them so they can see its relevance beyond the classroom.
