About Verity
I am a final-year BSc Natural Sciences student at the University of Bath, specialising in Pharmacology, with a strong academic background in Biology, Chemistry and Physics. I achieved A*AA at A level in these subjects and grade 9s across GCSE sciences and maths.
I have experience tutoring GCSE-level science and supporting students in Biology, Chemistry and Physics. I take a calm, structured approach to lessons, encouraging students to ask questions and working through topics step by step to build confidence and understanding.
Alongside my studies, I completed a year in industry at Pfizer in a medical support role, where I developed strong communication, organisation and analytical skills. I am approachable, patient and supportive, and aim to help students feel confident and well prepared for their exams.

My lessons in Biology, Chemistry and Physics are tailored to each student’s level, from GCSE through to A level. I have experience teaching GCSE science and understand the requirements of the specification and exam-style questions. I focus on building strong subject understanding alongside exam confidence by breaking down complex topics into clear, manageable steps. Students are encouraged to bring questions from class, homework or revision, and we work through these together to ensure full understanding. Lessons typically last 60 minutes and include clear explanations, worked examples, exam-style questions and targeted practice using mark schemes. I place strong emphasis on scientific terminology, practical skills, data analysis and exam technique, helping students improve accuracy, confidence and performance in assessments.
