About Maisie
Having recently left secondary school, I remember my public examinations very well. I remember the stress and pressure, but I also remember the ways I alleviated these obstacles to gain top marks. My empathy, in this way, allows for patience and perseverance with students.
Reading and writing are my two favourite hobbies, and the subject of my university study, so tutoring has never been a chore to me, but rather an opportunity to encourage the same enthusiasm and achievement in others.
I achieved A*A*A* at A level and (concealed information) at GCSE so am confident I can help produce similar results for students.

My teaching methodology finds a balance between pragmatism and enjoyment. While my lessons prioritise identifying problem areas, covering content and learning exam technique, I also recognise that engagement is a necessary prerequisite to unlocking students' true potential.
Lesson length can be adjusted to accommodate the student's timetable, but I would advise 45 mins - one hour sessions.
Previously I have volunteered as an assistant in a GCSE English class and tutored beginner Spanish one-on-one
