About Shaan
I have completed a degree in Biomedical sciences and am currently studying Dental Surgery. I have also been providing tuition since I was 18.
During my time as a tutor, and also as a student, I have really come to appreciate the huge array of ways people learn, and this really forms the basis of my ideology when it comes to tuition.

Only having around an hour, or maybe two, with a student each week simply is not enough to replace traditional schooling. So during my time with a student, I try to complement the students teaching.
My aim is to be able to equip a student with effective study skills and exam techniques, to the point they no longer require my help at all. I do this by understanding and embracing everyones individuality when it comes to learning. I draw on my own experience as a student, thinking about the lessons where I respond the most in. I also draw on my experience as a tutor - constantly tweaking my methods, working with the student, until we find the best way to teach.
I can also share my own experiences, if students find it useful, of doing second degrees, working within the NHS, university admission tests / interviews and general university life.
