About Tyrell
Hello there, I'm Ty and if you're serious about learning programming, then you've come to the right place. I am a highly skilled and passionate programmer, and coding is not only a skill for me but a central part of who I am. Despite having a packed life as a full-time student, a dedicated father, a loving husband, and an undergraduate researcher, I always prioritize programming and strive for excellence in my work.
But what truly sets me apart is my enthusiasm for teaching. Guiding someone through the intricacies of coding and helping them grasp complex concepts is extremely rewarding for me. I have extensive experience in tutoring and have been able to successfully impart my knowledge to countless students, with over 170 hours of dedicated teaching and 28 group courses under my belt.
My credentials speak for themselves. As the Head TA at Stanford's Code In Place, I taught my own section and led and trained 55 section leaders. I have also gained valuable real-world insights from my internships at the Carnegie Institution for Science at Stanford and the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, which I bring into my lessons.

For younger learners (ages 8-17), my experience as a tutor at IDTech Camps comes to the forefront. I've honed my approach to make complex topics accessible and engaging, capitalizing on my 170 hours of teaching both individual and group sessions.
