About Dr Sourav
Hello! I'm Sourav Kundu — a physicist, researcher, and passionate teacher based in Kolkata.
I hold a PhD in Physics from the prestigious Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics, and currently I am senior researcher at IISER Kolkata. Over the course of my career, I have also worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at IIT Bombay and taught undergraduate students also.
But beyond the credentials, I am someone who genuinely loves physics — and even more, loves the moment when a student's eyes light up because something finally makes sense.
I decided to tutor because I believe that great physics teaching is rare, and too many talented students are held back not by lack of ability, but by lack of the right guidance. Having cleared CSIR-JRF with an All India Rank of 28, I understand firsthand what competitive exam preparation truly demands — the clarity, the discipline, and the confidence.

1. Physics is not a collection of formulas to memorize — it is a language that describes the universe. My goal as a teacher is to help every student speak that language fluently, whether they are preparing for their Class 12 board exams or cracking JEE. I don't just teach physics — I live it as an experienced scientist. This means students don't just get textbook answers; they get the intuition behind every concept, the kind that separates a 60-scorer from a 95-scorer.
Each session follows a structured three-part rhythm:
Concept First — Every topic begins with building a rock-solid conceptual foundation, using real-world analogies and visual reasoning before a single equation is introduced.
Problem Solving — We then work through problems in increasing order of difficulty — from NCERT to previous-year JEE Advanced questions — so students develop both speed and analytical depth.
Doubt Demolition — The final segment is entirely student-driven. No question is too basic; no doubt goes unresolved.
