About Amy
I have been a tutor for 15 years. I started through teaching family members in homeschool classes, tutoring through bachelor's degree and master's degree programs, and eventually obtained my teaching credential in Secondary Math. I have taught two years in the classroom (8th grade, and 9th/10th grade), and was involved with the development and progression through the Integrated Math curriculum. I have been a substitute teacher through all levels of school grades, from elementary through high school years. I also currently tutor for the CSET Math and CSET Multiple Subject exams which are used as teacher subject matter tests.

I am a very patient and adaptable tutor. I love to use color (very helpful for understanding processes and drawing pictures), and will rephrase my instruction as needed to help you understand the content being taught. I am aware of the interrelation between many of the mathematics fields and can help you understand how each topic relates to another.

Details
I may be willing to travel outside designated area, but there may be additional fees charged to cover gas and time for travel to the student's location. There is a cancellation policy of a 1 hour charge if less than 6 hours notice is given for missed sessions. (This is based on my receipt time, not message sent time.)
