About Blake
Hi, I’m a dedicated guitar tutor with 3 years of experience helping students unlock their creative voice on the fretboard. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Audio Engineering with a focus on guitar performance, and my true passion lies in the art of improvisation. Whether it's modal jazz, Chicago blues, bebop, or soul-jazz fusion, I love exploring the spontaneous conversations music can create. My teaching style is supportive, engaging, and always tailored to your personal goals. I work with school students, hobbyists, and professional musicians, helping each player grow at their own pace. From mastering modal scales and arpeggios to diving deep into dominant seventh theory and bebop phrasing, I aim to equip you with the tools to build your own improvisational language. I specialize in helping Intermediate to Advanced players refine their skills, and I’ve successfully coached musicians preparing for professional gigs.
