About Diane
I have spent over twenty years at the university level, and have done workshops in breaking through writers block, creative writing using all your senses, storytelling for poetry, plays and literature, and more. I've tutored English (including grammar and test prep) and creative writing for elementary, high school, and college levels. I'm prepared, organized, and ready to help you achieve your reading and writing goals.

I instruct using varied methods (for teens and adults) in an individual's own learning style. I use a hands on approach that makes reading, decoding, and following a story fun & engaging.
I teach several aspects of writing, including fiction, essays, short stories and novels, as well as argumentative writing, writing for social media, writing for research, and personal journaling and autobiography. Writing is using all our senses and experiences, as well as dreams and fears and desires, and translating those experiences from thoughts and images into text. We will use word paths, outlines, plotlines and story strengths to get ideas across. Editing and simplicity are explained and practiced in flash fiction and writing for journalism and social media.
