About Hallie
I am a violin tutor with 6+ years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Composition (Violin Focus), specializing in crossover and contemporary violin styles. I focus on Jazz, Rock, Hip-Hop Strings, and World Music, using looping pedals and live effects to create unique performances.
Students learn improvisation, writing solos, and adapting songs in their own style. I encourage experimenting with tone, texture, and layered sounds. Beginners and advanced players develop technical skill and creative expression.

I teach violin with a focus on sight-reading, rhythm, and score comprehension. Lessons help students read ledger lines, understand complex rhythms, and manage multi-part scores. My approach is systematic, improving visual-to-finger coordination for rapid reading.
Students work on exercises to strengthen note recognition, rhythmic accuracy, and pattern memory. I include real musical examples to connect practice to performance. New pieces become easy to play.
I support learners performing in musicals, worship groups, and ensembles. Beginners build strong fundamentals, while advanced students improve fluency and precision. Feedback and repetition ensure steady progress.
