I’m a passionate and experienced Middle School Math Education major dedicated to helping students succeed. With a creative, inclusive approach and a strong foundation in teaching, I provide personalized support that builds confidence, deepens understanding, and encourages growth. As a tutor, my teaching method is rooted in creativity, student-centered instruction, and inclusivity. I use engaging, hands-on strategies and tailor each lesson to meet the individual learning styles and needs of my students. I emphasize conceptual understanding over memorization, and I draw on both my middle school math education training and my experience teaching art to present math in visual and meaningful ways.
A typical lesson begins with a quick review of prior knowledge or a warm-up to activate thinking. I then model the target concept using clear, relatable examples—often with visual aids or interactive tools. After that, students engage in guided practice followed by independent work, during which I offer individualized support. I close the lesson with a recap and feedback to reinforce learning and identify next steps.
What sets me apart is my blend of math and art teaching experience, which helps students who might struggle with traditional approaches. I also offer personalized feedback, after-school help, and a welcoming environment where students feel safe to ask questions and take academic risks.
My lessons are designed for middle school students, but I also support elementary students due to my experience in early-grade classrooms. Whether students need help mastering foundational skills, preparing for assessments, or simply building confidence in math, I create customized, effective lessons that support both academic growth and personal development.
