About Harlan
I am an experienced Guitar tutor with 6 years of teaching experience, teaching school students, college learners, and working professionals. I have worked with beginners as well as students who wanted to improve their skills.
My teaching philosophy is based on learning step by step with confidence. I focus on building a strong base before moving to advanced techniques. I keep my lessons simple, practical, and easy to understand.
My teaching includes guitar basics, chord progressions, scales, rhythm control, strumming patterns, picking techniques, fingerstyle basics, and song learning. I also teach basic music theory in a simple way.
Many of my students have performed at cultural programmes, school events, and college festivals. These achievements reflect their dedication and progress.
I maintain a friendly and supportive teaching style. My goal is to help students enjoy guitar learning and become confident musicians.

My teaching style focuses on clarity, understanding, and real-life application. I believe Guitar lessons should help students understand music in practical ways. I use real songs, performance examples, and simple case studies to explain Guitar concepts effectively.
I take time to understand each student’s level and learning needs. Communication is clear and encouraging, helping students stay motivated. Lessons are structured but flexible to suit the student’s pace.
Integrity plays an important role in my teaching. I focus on strong fundamentals such as posture, finger technique, rhythm control, and tone quality. Guitar lessons also include chords, scales, strumming patterns, and musical expression. In addition, I teach related subjects like basic music theory, listening skills, rhythm practice, and simple improvisation. My aim is long-term musical growth.
