About Heather
Hello!
I am a qualified primary teacher and drama facilitator. I love learning and help all of my students love it too through carefully crafted creative exercises planned for every individual.
I have experience working with students with a variety of needs including autism, dyslexia and anxiety. I am passionate about making learning accessible to all and focus on empowering each child I work with to develop their confidence and learn in the way that works best for them.
Due to the corona virus pandemic I am currently delivering all of my lessons online. I know that this is a worrying time for everyone financially and I have therefor lowered my usual rate to help make my sessions more accessible.

Prior to teaching I worked in theatre writing and directing. I use many of the skills I gained through this in the work I do now, whether that's inventing a story for a mathematical equation or generating ideas through drama exercises like character hot seating.
I have a strengths based approach and focus on each of my students passions and strengths to help them take ownership of their learning and build self confidence. I believe that confidence building is essential for developing learning.
