About Elizabeth
I work at a small public accounting firm during the day. I've been in accounting for 15 years. I miss being able to mentor so many accountants like I did in the mid-size firm I worked at, which is why I want to tutor. I feel like I have a lot of knowledge in accounting to offer and I want to help others who may be struggling or just wanting to have a leg up in their career.
In my spare time I love to quilt, do stained glass, watch movies with my husband, and spend time with my children and grandchild. I LOVE gardening. My daughter just recently started a business, so I have been helping her with that too.

I am a Certified Public Accountant in Maryland. I have been in the accounting profession for 15 years, 5 as a tax manager. I graduated magna cum laude from the University of Baltimore in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting. I have worked in mid-size and small public accounting firms for my entire career.
As part of my job, I assist clients with bookkeeping, payroll, maintaining their chart of accounts, tax compliance, financial statement preparation, overhead analysis, and much more. I have worked with primarily small business clients. I have an extensive knowledge of QuickBooks as I use it almost every day.
My goal is to provide accounting students at the high school and college level with additional support to pass their classes and help them see how the knowledge translates to real world experience. I also have a passion for helping to supplement study sessions for those sitting for the CPA exam. I prefer one on one teaching online.
