About Aashima
A Counseling Psychologist and a Special Educator certified by the Counselor's Council of India and the Rehabilitation Council of India respectively.
I have worked with several students across various grades , at both inclusive and special schools. My internships have given me the opportunity to closely observe student behaviour across various ages and grades. I have also worked with children with special needs during my internships and training periods in various reputed organisations like Lady Hardinge Medical Institute, Delhi and Aanchal Special School, Delhi; and observed conditions like ADHD, Autism, Specific Learning Disability, Cerebral Palasy, Intellectual Disability etc.
Currently working with Teach for India, I have 8 months of professional experience of teaching students at a Sarvoday Kanya Vidyalaya in Delhi.
I also create, and facilitate Socio-Emotional Learning spaces for adolescents across Delhi vor students from various grades.

My teaching method is predominantly by creating an experiencial learning environment for the student. I use discussion and practical based teaching method, and encourage students to learn via finding examples and connecting the concepts to their lives. I approach the topic by breaking it down and understanding its elements. I'll flexible regarding pedagogy, understanding the needs of the student.
