About Andrew
Picture the crackle of an old record playing a Vigneault tune while we break down a single phrase. My lessons use song lyrics to anchor those tricky everyday phrases in your memory. Because I have a BA from Concordia, I ensure the grammar is solid while keeping things light and approachable. We focus on role play and dialogue practice so you gain confidence in real situations.
I keep the mood casual for those of you who want to learn at your own pace. Sometimes I find myself humming a bit of Leloup when I explain verb conjugation. I love seeing the moment a student finally relaxes into the language.

Holding a BA French Studies from Concordia University means I have spent 13 years dissecting the mechanics of language. You probably want to speak without freezing up in front of locals.
I focus on helping adult hobbyists bridge the gap between textbook grammar and actual daily life. My approach is grounded in the chanson tradition, which I use to teach rhythm and pronunciation. Over these 13 years, I have worked with countless students who just want to feel comfortable in a cafe. We practice liaison and nasal sounds until they feel natural, not forced.
