About Tiffany
Dear dancers, hello and welcome! Do you like dance and want to improve your technical and artistic skills? I'm here for you. Professional dancer, performance designer and teacher, I am creative, dynamic, versatile and attentive. I teach contemporary dance, technical floorwork (floor work), acrobatic figures and classical dance. My classes focus on mindfulness (tangible and intangible bodies), musicality, the harmonization of energy flows, improvisation, movement phrases and choreographic composition. Previously graduated from the conservatory in contemporary dance and studied visual arts and philosophy at the University of the Sorbonne in Paris, I subsequently broadened my professional experiences abroad in Europe (Sweden, Iceland and Germany) and in Asia (Malaysia and Bali). For the past six years, I have taught dance in France, Sweden and Iceland. As the current pandemic situation does not allow travel, lessons are available via SKYPE. My movement practice combines a meditative approach in stillness and through movement, awakening the mind, spreading awareness to different parts of the body, following energy impulses and intuitive movement, improvising on different types of music, increasing flow of energy. Inviting you to take care of yourself, practice resilience, self-love, integrity and acceptance to overcome your technical, physical and mental limits. I named this practice The Embodied Practice. This approach is carried out in four stages: Being, Investigation, Exploration and Dedication. - Being is the awakening of consciousness within macro perception. Allow yourself to be in the present moment in a real and limited space. - Investigation is research in the micro and kinesphere sense through the expansion of consciousness in different parts of the body, sensitive and somatic perceptions. - Exploration, projective and collective consciousness. Be inspired by external and surrounding elements, atmosphere, textures, curiosity in external resources. - Dedication is the final dancing process combining technicality, the power of intention, the complete embodiment of the physical and psychic body. An authentic experience through devotion in action. In order to seek some truth in our physical manifestation through the embodiment of movement, we must first explore our inner truth residing in the innermost part of our being - the authentic being. For this, we must reinvest the movement through a work of investigation and inner exploration.
