I was trained by the military as an instructor and subsequently designated as the First Master Trainer in the United States Navy. When I get a request to tutor I will assess the request for the level 0f the request, may ask the student to email me a sample problem that he or she is having trouble with so I can build a short syllabus that will cover the math areas of interest. My general approach is to simplify the explanation of the problems
