About Janina
I'm a computer science student at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I have plenty of experience tutoring in my different environments. In high school, I was a member of the National, Math, Science, English, and Spanish Honor Societies. Within each of these societies, we provided free tutoring sessions that allowed me to build my skills. From there, I worked at a professional tutoring center called Mathnasium for 1 1/2 years where I worked with students from ages 6 to 18 with different levels of skill in math. I also tutored individual students outside of the center. My experience has allowed me to understand the best way to teach students to optimize their learning and prioritize personalizing my lesson plan for the individual.

I create a personalized work plan for each student, allowing their studies to be individualized in order to optimize their learning. I prioritize building a relationship with my students so that they feel more comfortable and this also allows me to understand how they learn best. I teach anywhere from Kindergarten to 12th grade including specialties in Arithmetic, Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, and Linear Algebra.
