About Poppy
Hello! I'm Poppy, an enthusiastic undergraduate student currently studying Computer Science. My love for mathematics has driven me to offer tutoring services to help others understand and enjoy the subject as much as I do.
Although I am new to formal tutoring, my academic background in STEM has equipped me with a deep understanding of mathematical concepts. I bring fun learning techniques to each session, focusing on making maths accessible and enjoyable.
I believe in creating a calm and relaxed learning environment where students feel comfortable to ask questions and express their difficulties. My teaching methods are adaptable, allowing me to tailor each session to the individual needs of my students. Whether you're struggling with basic concepts or advanced topics, I use a variety of techniques to find what works best for you.
In our sessions, we will work through example questions of different styles to identify areas that need improvement and to build confidence. I am flexible with lesson lengths, offering sessions that range from 30 to 60 minutes, depending on what suits you best.
My lessons are primarily aimed at GCSE and A-level students, with my experience progressing to some degree level topics. My goal is to help you turn your weaknesses into strengths and to boost your confidence in maths.
