About Elyn
I'm a bubbly and encouraging teacher who wants you to enjoy the subject that you're learning! I care about developing my relationship with my students beyond the academic subject, and want to help you achieve the goals that you set out for yourself. I taught GCSE tuition in London for 3 years, where my students have all gotten top grades. After graduating with 5 A1s and 2 A2s from the express stream, I studied Engineering with Business at a polytechnic, then moved on to study Computer Science at a top university in London under an overseas scholarship. Behind the accolades, I used to be ranked in the bottom 30 when I was in lower secondary, uncommitted to my studies. It was only through the support of my teachers that I started feeling the drive to excel and do my best, and I want to be that person for my students. I believe in the version of themselves that they aspire to be, and run alongside them to make it happen.

I enforce mathematical knowledge through practice, and help my students develop the confidence to answer questions in a way that feels familiar even when facing difficult questions. As a Computer Science major, I integrate and teach my students effective revision methods using ChatGPT and other GenAI models. My lessons are typically 1-1.5 hours, where we go through the theory and put it into practice. My classes are for 15-16 year old Express O-Level students.
