About Selene
I have 13 years of experience teaching Computer Programming to students preparing for exams, university study, and professional tech pathways. I earned a B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering, which provided strong grounding in algorithms, software development, and computational problem solving. This academic background allows me to teach programming with both clarity and real-world relevance.
My teaching style is supportive, structured, and focused on building deep understanding rather than memorising syntax. I enjoy helping learners move from uncertainty into confident problem solving through step-by-step guidance. I create a learning environment where mistakes are seen as part of growth.
Outside tutoring, I stay engaged with programming through personal software projects, exploration of emerging technologies, and continuous learning of new tools. Teaching programming is rewarding because students often discover how powerful their own ideas can become through code. Supporting that transformation motivates my work deeply.

Programming becomes much easier when students understand that code is simply a clear way of expressing logical steps. In my lessons, I guide learners through Python, Java, data structures, algorithms, and software design with structured explanation and hands-on practice. I focus on helping students understand how problems are broken into smaller pieces, so coding feels approachable instead of intimidating. Each session encourages experimentation, curiosity, and steady progress.
Lessons are adapted to each learner’s level. Beginners build foundations in variables, loops, conditions, functions, and basic debugging habits. Intermediate students develop stronger object-oriented thinking, modular programming, problem-solving strategies, and confidence in building larger projects. Advanced learners focus on algorithm efficiency, interview preparation, API development, database integration, and real-world software planning. Practice tasks and feedback are included in every lesson.
Programming lessons help students grow beyond technical skill, strengthening reasoning, creativity, and resilience. Over time, learners begin trusting their ability to solve challenges independently. My goal is to help students feel empowered by coding and excited to create meaningful solutions through technology.
