Whatever I start, my first criteria to make the things moving either it's for me or for the person I m working is BASIC. That's what I do as a tutor as well. Like in Trigonometry before starting with the sin and cos values you need to explain that what is a theta and what does it mean, otherwise you will keep moving forward and your students keep wondering that what it is actually. So if platform is good... Basics is clear then it's a easier to teach and a lot easier for your students to understand and learn.
