About Nazmul Hasan

Hi there! I'm a computer engineering student at Memorial University of Newfoundland, with four years of experience under my belt in tutoring mathematics, physics, and chemistry. My goal is to bring out the best in students, not just as a tutor but as a mentor. I believe in creating a spark for growth and inspiring a love for lifelong learning. Beyond academics, I enjoy biking, listening to pop music, journaling, and taking morning walks.

Teaching Methodology and Techniques:

I employ an interactive approach to teaching, focusing on engaging students and encouraging active participation. My methodology revolves around starting with simpler concepts and gradually progressing to more complex ones. This ensures that students build a strong foundation before tackling advanced topics. I emphasize understanding the practical applications of what they are learning to spark their interest and motivation.

A Typical Lesson Plan:

Introduction: Briefly introduce the topic and its real-world applications to capture the student's interest.
Foundational Concepts: Start with easy, foundational concepts and ensure the student has a basic understanding.
Interactive Activities: Engage the student with interactive activities, including problem-solving exercises and discussions.
Progressive Learning: Gradually introduce more complex concepts as the student becomes more comfortable with the material.
Review and Recap: Summarize the key points of the lesson and address any remaining questions the student might have.
Homework/Practice Problems: Assign relevant practice problems to reinforce the day’s learning and prepare for the next session.

What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor:

What sets me apart as a tutor is my ability to spark a student's interest in the subject. I avoid diving straight into textbooks or technical details. Instead, I start by explaining why and how the subject matter is interesting and relevant in real-world scenarios. This approach helps students see the value and application of what they are learning, making them more enthusiastic and engaged.

Who the Lessons Are For:

My lessons are designed for students from middle school to high school. I specialize in teaching mathematics, physics, and chemistry. Whether the student is struggling with basic concepts or looking to excel in advanced topics, my tailored approach ensures they receive the support they need to succeed.
