About Erik
I hold an M.S. in Computer Science and an active CompTIA Security+ certification. My background is in both the technical side of cybersecurity and in breaking down complex concepts so they actually make sense to someone preparing for an exam.
I've been through the Security+ certification process myself, which means I know exactly how the exam is structured, what it actually tests, and where most people lose points. I don't teach from a generic study guide — I work from experience with the material and with students who've been in your position.
My teaching style is direct and practical. I find what's blocking you, explain it clearly, and make sure it sticks before we move on.
Whether you're brand new to cybersecurity or retaking after a failed attempt, I'll meet you where you are.

Security+ doesn't have to be the exam you dread. I'm a CompTIA Security+ certified tutor with an M.S. in Computer Science, and I will help students go from feeling completely lost to passing on their first attempt.
Every student I work with starts with a domain diagnosis — we figure out exactly where you're losing points so we don't waste time on what you already know. From there, sessions are fully personalized: real practice questions, PBQ walkthroughs, and explanations that actually stick rather than just memorizing definitions.
My lessons are for anyone pursuing the Security+ certification — whether you're brand new to cybersecurity, transitioning careers into IT, or coming off a failed attempt and need a fresh approach. Sessions are held online via Google Meet, flexible around your schedule, and paced around your actual exam date.
