About Maia
I am currently an undergraduate student at the London School of Economics (LSE), studying Environment and Sustainable Development. This is a multi-faceted course which actively uses the concepts I encountered in A-Level economics and politics, building upon them using an approach which integrates elements of political theory, law, and natural sciences.
In August 2026, I achieved A*A*A* in my A-Levels of History, Economics and Politics, and achieved an average GCSE grade of 8.4 across 10 subjects in August 2024.
Alongside my own academic success, I received four university offers and was invited to interview at Cambridge. This can largely be credited to my personal statement, which was the 'strongest personal statement' in my year group. I also have experience supporting other students with their personal statements under the new application format, helping them plan and structure strong applications successfully.

I offer personalised tutoring sessions, typically 60 minutes long, which can be adjusted to suit each student’s needs. Every lesson is carefully planned and tailored to the individual, ensuring that content is delivered in a way that works best for them. I have had great success with applications under the new UCAS format, and am able to advise students on how to present the best possible application to highly competitive institutions.
With over two years of experience tutoring students across a range of subjects, I adapt my teaching style based on how each student engages with the material. My focus is on building confidence, strengthening understanding, and helping every student achieve their best possible results.
