About Shreya
With 20 years of piano teaching experience and more than 300 students taught, I am committed to helping learners of all ages discover the beauty of music. I enjoy working with high school students, college learners, and adults who want to improve their skills or begin their musical journey. My teaching philosophy is built on strong communication, simple explanations, and a positive learning environment. I believe that students grow best when they feel confident and supported, so I create lessons that are easy to follow and motivating. I guide learners through techniques, music reading, finger control, and expressive playing at a pace that suits them. I use a practical approach to teaching—demonstrations, real-life examples, and step-by-step practice. Students learn not only how to play piano but also how to understand music, listen better, and develop their own style. Many of my students have performed in events, passed music exams, and reached personal milestones they never thought possible. My lessons cover theory, rhythm training, scales, chords, and performance preparation. I also help students explore different music genres, from classical to pop and film music. My goal is to inspire confidence, improve skills, and make piano learning enjoyable for every learner.

My teaching approach for Piano focuses on helping students learn in a simple, enjoyable, and practical way. I start by understanding the student’s learning style, because every learner is unique. Some understand better through sound, others through reading or movement, so I adjust my methods to support each style. This helps students build confidence early in their learning journey. I also teach subjects like Music Theory, Ear Training, Sight-Reading, Chords, Finger Exercises, and Rhythm Patterns. These topics help students grow into complete musicians. I use real-world examples, such as familiar songs or easy case studies from performances, to show how theory connects to playing. Communication remains at the centre of every lesson. I explain each step clearly and listen to what the student needs. My goal is to create a friendly and supportive environment where piano learning feels rewarding and meaningful.
