About Emily
I am a rising junior at Scripps College in California. I'm double majoring in CS and Linguistics which gives me a broad interdisciplinary background helpful for tutoring almost any subject. In high school, I was the president of a club which organized peer tutoring for STEM classes. In college, I've come to appreciate collaboration more than ever. Simply talking a tricky subject through with someone (a tutor, peer or friend) can be incredibly helpful.

I give lessons to middle and high school students in need of a little extra help in almost any subject. I'm a patient tutor and my goal during sessions is always to first isolate what is making a certain topic challenging or confusing, walk through my student's understanding of said topic, collaboratively fill in gaps in this understanding, and then finally work through examples with the goal of generalizing the solution.
