About Caitlin
Hello, I am Ms. Caitlin, I like to make it fun in order to learn. I find that for those of you who need help with hands on learning, projects are the easiest way to learn have fun and stay engaged. I like to teach math, science, writing, reading, and if you need help with speech I will help you. I am still a student myself I am in college, so I understand the hard times that comes along with learning. I have been doing this for 4 years now and I love every second of working with the ones that have such a strong imagination. I look forward to working with you and letting our imaginations run wild while learning what we need to in order for you to be the best you can be at school.

What sets me apart:
- Learning as they are learning
- I know common core math, and have done that for 4 years now
- If it is too hard for the student to understand I can explain in a different way and then walk them through the way that is explained
My typical Lesson plan:
I have written several lesson plans but not for math, in college when taking my college courses we start with just what we learned last time and then go in. Since I am tutoring I will be starting with what the student already knows so that way we can work on what they need help with.
Lessons are for:
-K through 3rd grade
- I can help with Math, Reading, Writing, Speech, Science
- I have a certificate in Early Childhood Education, for Pre-K through 3rd grade
- Common Core math Knowledge, Reading/Writing with leveled books (Level 1-6,i.e Pete the Cat)
-When the student can’t get the word across I know some sign language to help, and we will work on saying the words phonetically, so that they can learn their speech patterns appropriately
Teaching Methodology and Techniques:
- Common Core
- I have been taught how to approach the different types of learners to accommodate to their needs (I.e Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic)
- I keep your child engaged by making it fun while they are still learning what is needed
- PBL (Project Based Learning)
- Inquiry Based Learning
- I will ask the students questions about them and tell them about me so that way they feel comfortable, because new people can be scary
- If your child is comfortable with it I go by my first name so that way there are not many formalities

Transportation rates are $15 but can be discussed for a lower rate depending how far the student is from my home
Cancellation rate is 50% because I could’ve had another student that may of needed more help and I could’ve missed an opportunity to work with the other student
Lesson pack for5 hours is $70 because you bought it in a bundle so there is a 5 dollar discount, for the 10 hour pack you get $10 off because you decided to order in a bundle and it makes it easier on you.
