About Amanda
I am currently a college sophomore at Drexel University. I've tutored children for the past 5 years and I really enjoy it. I've tutored in English, math, and some sciences. Getting to see students succeed and move forward in their school careers with my guidance is very rewarding. I can help students clean up their writing skills, improve their reading comprehension, and instill important grammar lessons and tools.

It is important to me to cater my lessons to the individual to see what they need and how they work and learn best.
A typical lesson plan would consist of readings and multiple-choice practices. Or if it is writing, then we would study rhetorical devices, and other essays/papers to draw lessons on what we can use from them to improve our own writing.
I am a student currently, so I understand the demands and challenges students have to deal with. I've taken many AP classes and exams and have scored well. I know what to expect and how to succeed.
I am tutoring in grades 5-9.
