About Sarah
I really do enjoy tutoring statistics. I have roughly 15 years experience tutoring university students and have consulted as a Biostatistician for 10 years across many therapeutic areas. In addition to a Master's degree in Biostatistics I also have Bachelor's in Neuroscience and Psychology. I'm familiar with most advanced methods and R packages. As well as other statistical software such as SAS, Stata, SPSS and many more.

Reviewing course notes and tutorials in which there were any sticking points and addressing them in chronological order is generally a sound approach. This ensures that subsequent knowledge is built upon a solid bedrock and therefore concepts can be most clearly distilled and understood. I can adapt to any learning style and content preferences. Lessons can be theoretical Q & A, or more hands on in terms of solving questions and performing data analysis or write up of results. I have experience with most statistical software including R, SAS, Stata, SPSS and many others. For help with the statistical aspects of research projects I usually spend the first session discussing the research goals and determining the best plan of action for data collection and statistical methods. Many students like me to run through a demonstration of the statistical analysis using their chosen software so that they can replicate the analysis in future, if need be. I really enjoy tutoring a variety of students and having worked with students from 30+ different universities over the years. I'm currently offering Zoom sessions only. This is for convenience as it allows me to offer more flexible time slots and serve a wider geographical area. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to reach out. For broader topics I am happy to review your course notes before confirming a new session to make sure it's within my remit.
