About Oliver
I am a classically trained Singaporean violinist and violin teacher. I began learning the violin at the age of 6 and have since developed a strong foundation in classical performance and music education.
I graduated with a Diploma in Music Performance from NAFA in 2023 and am currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumental and Vocal Teaching at NAFA. I also hold ABRSM Performance Certificates up to Diploma level, as well as ABRSM Grade 5 Theory.
As a performer, I have played with the NAFA Orchestra, NAFA String Orchestra, Musicians’ Initiative, and Alouette Ensemble. My performance experience includes orchestral, chamber, opera, and string ensemble works.
I have taught violin at several music schools in Singapore, including Agape Music School, Da Capo Music School, Fasosola Music School, and Florence Music School. Since 2023, I have also been teaching private students, working with learners of different ages and levels.
My teaching approach is patient, structured, and encouraging. I aim to help students build a strong technical foundation while also developing musical expression, confidence, and enjoyment in playing the violin. Whether students are learning for graded exams, personal enrichment, or long-term musical growth, I hope to guide them in a way that suits their individual pace and goals.
To me, music is a universal language and an important part of life. Through my lessons, I hope to inspire students to discover their own musical voice and develop a lifelong appreciation for music.

Lessons will typically be either 45 minutes or 1 hour on a weekly basis depending on the student's personal choice/goals.
