About Maisie
I am a hardworking, self-motivated student, with a passion for this subject (and education in general!) which I want to instil in students for successive years to come. I believe that to do well in English you need to develop and nurture a passion for it, which is what allowed me to succeed and what I will try to encourage other students to find within themselves. I have the knowledge and ability to support a wide range of academic ability and age groups, from an introduction to technical features of the English Language at KS2/3, to the detailed exploration and analysis of literature in different contexts at A Level. I look forward to help making pupils more confident, more passionate, and more knowledgeable, as I believe I have done in my previous tutoring experience, and will continue to do with every student I work with.

My teaching style consists of a range of techniques and activities depending on the child's abilities, interests, and current topics. My lessons typically consist of talking through a paragraph together that I have prepared beforehand, and then a more independent activity that I can assist them with if they need. This is usually designed to build confidence and encourage them to practice developing their own skills.
I have 6 months experience as a tutor with another company, during which I have worked with a number of different children with different abilities, and have been able to create effective lesson plans for all of them.
I am able to teach A Level English Literature, GCSE English Literature and Language, and KS3 English/Literacy
