About Richard
I'm a pianist and current Master's student at the New England Conservatory. My musical training began in China, then continued in Australia and North America. I hold degrees from The Glenn Gould School in Toronto and the University of Montreal. I've performed in venues such as Koerner Hall and Cliburn Hall. I've also served as a jury member for an international piano competition and have guided my students to their own achievements.
My teaching philosophy is simple and straightforward. I believe that every student is different, so every lesson should be too. I create a supportive, focused environment where we work at your pace toward your goals—whether that's passing an exam, winning a competition, preparing for college auditions or just playing for the joy of it.
